Biography
Dr. Brandon C. Lane is a neurosurgeon who specializes in both cranial and spinal surgery, including the treatment of brain tumors, spine conditions and neurological trauma.
Dr. Lane’s clinical interests include:
- Primary and metastatic brain tumors, meningiomas and pituitary tumors
- Vascular and skull base lesions
- Neurosurgical trauma
- Degenerative spine disease (cervical, thoracic and lumbar)
- Spinal stenosis and disc herniations
- Spinal tumors and vascular lesions
- Minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery
Dr. Lane is an assistant professor of clinical neurological surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine. He serves as Chief of Neurosurgery at Eskenazi Hospital, Director of Global Neurosurgery and Associate Residency Program Director.
He is actively involved in medical student and resident education and received the department’s Faculty Teaching Award in 2024.
Dr. Lane’s research focuses on improving clinical outcomes and developing models for international neurosurgical collaboration. He is actively involved in global health initiatives through the AMPATH Program and regularly travels to Kenya.
Dr. Lane earned his medical degree from Columbia University and completed both his neurosurgery residency and fellowship at Indiana University. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
