Biography
Dr. Joanne D. Sweeney, MD FACOG, is a dedicated obstetrician and gynecologist with extensive experience in both multi-specialty and single-specialty group practices. She has served at The Southeast Permanente Medical Group in Atlanta, GA since 2016, providing comprehensive care in obstetrics and gynecology. Prior to this, she practiced at Simmonds, Martin, and Helmbrecht, LLC in Damascus, MD, from 2006 to 2016. Sweeney earned her Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology from Brown University and her Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA.
