DAISY Award IU Health West Hospital

DAISY Award

The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day.

Each DAISY Award honoree is recognized at a public ceremony in his or her unit, and receives a number of special gifts, including a beautiful certificate, a DAISY Award pin and a hand-carved stone sculpture entitled "A Healer's Touch." Additionally, each DAISY nurse has their fellow team members join them to celebrate with cinnamon rolls (a favorite of J. Patrick Barnes, whose memory the DAISY Award honors).

Please complete the following information to nominate an IU Health West Hospital nurse for a DAISY Award.

Do you want to be contacted if your nurse is chosen to be a DAISY Award Honoree?

If so, please leave your name and a contact phone number or email address:

DAISY Nurses are described as professional, dedicated, clinically skillful, sensitive, comforting, genuine, courageous and, most of all, compassionate. DAISY nurses go above and beyond even what would be expected of a "good nurse."

Please describe why your nominee is deserving of a DAISY Award. Be sure to share specific details. The story you share about your nominee is very important in evaluating your submission.

Patients, family members, visitors, nurses, physicians, fellow team members and volunteers are all welcome to nominate a deserving nurse.
