Limb loss can present unique challenges affecting an individual’s quality of life and independence. The Center for Limb Loss offers comprehensive care to develop individualized treatment plans that maximize independence and physical function.

The Center for Limb Loss provides comprehensive amputee care, including monitoring limb healing and wound prevention, as well as prosthetic prescription, assessment of prosthetic fit, functional and gait assessment and treatment, prosthetic troubleshooting and lifelong management based on patient needs.

We are also involved in innovative research related to limb loss through the Indiana University School of Medicine.

Our highly skilled team, led by a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician, and supported by wound and mobility physical therapists, will assess your clinical needs. The team will create an individualized treatment plan to address your amputation-related care beginning in the post-operative period through lifelong management. The Center for Limb Loss is located in the IU Health Neuroscience Center in downtown Indianapolis, just south of IU Health Methodist Hospital. Parking is available for a nominal fee in the attached parking garage.
