Abigail L. Hays, NP, MSN, FNP-C

Abby Hays, NP, MSN, FNP-C, is a pediatric neurosurgery nurse practitioner with Riley Children’s Health who cares for infants, children and adolescents with a wide range of neurosurgical conditions, including hydrocephalus, craniosynostosis, epilepsy, traumatic brain injuries, neural tube defects, nervous system infections, neurovascular disorders and spinal injuries. She provides inpatient consultations and performs procedures such as reservoir and shunt taps, drain removal, simple wound closure and shunt programming.

Abby is committed to being a welcoming and collaborative partner in care. She believes in listening first, helping families understand their options and working together to make healthcare less overwhelming. Her focus on lifelong learning helps her provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s needs. Inspired by the care her family received during her mother’s cancer treatment, Abigail pursued a career in nursing and advanced practice medicine to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients and families. Outside of work, Abby enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending live music events, exploring the outdoors, watching movies and spending time with her two cats and beloved nephew.
