Biography
Born and raised in Fishers, Indiana, Alexis R. McGee, OTR/L, is a licensed Occupational Therapist with a passion for supporting the growth and development of infants and young children. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Indiana University–Indianapolis (IUI) while working at the Children’s TherAplay Foundation, where her experience solidified her interest in pediatrics and early intervention. Alexis went on to complete her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at IUI, focusing her education and clinical training on pediatric populations. She completed a clinical rotation in a Level III NICU at Franciscan Health and conducted her doctoral capstone project at Community North Hospital’s NICU. Her project centered on perinatal mental health and supporting caregivers’ experiences within the NICU to promote family well-being.
Alexis is especially passionate about working with infants who are developing foundational gross and fine motor skills, helping them reach critical developmental milestones. She currently serves families in Hancock and Hamilton county.
