Biography

Amy Huntsman OTR, CLT-LANA is a strong patient advocate who has invested in clinical intervention strategies to reduce pain, improve joint mobilization, scar minimization, postural alignment, physical endurance and body image/self esteem issues from circumstances of the cancer recovery process. As a therapy clinician, her role is to be efficient by guiding patients back to baseline measures giving both the patient and families involved the support and tools they need to resume activities of daily living.

Amy graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 1992 and began working in a diverse hospital campus setting (inpatient acute rehab, skilled nursing facilities and adult outpatient followed by clinical coordinator roles in management). In 1999, her career path changed toward women's health breast cancer lymphedema and diversifying her skill set toward evaluating and treating all types of edemas effecting the entire body. In 2004, Amy became passionate in directly working with Head and Neck lymphedema patients and started Head and Neck lymphedema programming by collaborating with physicians in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and ENT physicians. Overall, she has been a lymphedema clinician for 24 years and specifically working with the head and neck population for 19 years.
