Biography
Before joining IU Health in 2024, Dr. Andrea K. Cyr, DO practiced sports medicine at The University of Illinois at Chicago where she also served as team physician for the NCAA Division I teams.
Being a lifelong athlete herself, Dr. Cyr sought to become the physician that others can entrust to either return to sport or attain a physically active lifestyle. Being active is a big part of her own life and she recognizes the importance for others to return to the lifestyle they desire without health or injury being a limitation.
She seeks to partner with patients to make their health and lifestyle goals attainable. She has volunteered as an event physician for numerous events including the Chicago Marathon, Olympic speed skating trials, Tour of America’s Dairyland (cycling races), the National Veteran’s Wheelchair Games and events of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association. Dr. Cyr is a nationally recognized professional road cyclist and enjoys cross-country skiing and yoga.
