Biography
Dr. Damaris Ortiz is a fellowship trained, board-certified acute care surgeon and surgical critical care specialist. Dr. Ortiz is passionate about the care of underserved populations. Her areas of expertise include traumatic resuscitation, minimally invasive surgery and pain management. In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Ortiz is a health services researcher focusing on violence prevention and postoperative brain health. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the Eastern Association for the Surgery of Trauma.
