Biography
Dan Zhu, NP is a board-certified family nurse practitioner specializing in cardiac electrophysiology.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Zhu spent several years caring for cardiac patients as a registered nurse. That experience inspired his passion for helping people with heart rhythm conditions.
Zhu cares for patients with a variety of heart rhythm conditions, including:
- Atrial fibrillation
- Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT)
- Bradycardia
- Other cardiac arrhythmias
In collaboration with the electrophysiology team, he helps patients understand their diagnosis, discuss treatment options, manage cardiac implantable devices and provide follow-up care to improve heart health and quality of life.
Zhu earned a bachelor of science in nursing from Marian University and a master of science in nursing from Purdue Global.
When not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his family, staying active though exercise and traveling. He also enjoys learning new things and believes that continuous learning is an important part of providing the highest quality care to patients.
