Biography

Daniel H. Slubowski, MD, is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician with Riley Children’s Health. He is also the Medical Director of Riley Children’s Emergency Medicine at IU Health North in Carmel and IU Health Fishers.

Dr. Slubowski chose emergency medicine because he enjoys helping children with a wide range of health concerns and appreciates that every day is different. Fever, abdominal pain, respiratory distress, dehydration and traumatic injuries are just a few conditions that he may treat in the emergency department.

When a patient and family meet Dr. Slubowski, they can expect an approach that is empathetic and evidence-based. He listens closely to the patient to best understand their concerns and collaborates with the patient and family to decide the best care together.

Education

Dr. Slubowski received his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana before obtaining his Doctor of Medicine from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Slubowski completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and his Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship at University of Texas at Austin Del Medical School.

Awards and Achievements

Dr. Slubowski is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, a national medical honor society. He is also a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP). In addition to being a member of ACEP for 3+ continuous years and being board-certified in emergency medicine, fellowship requires showing a record of service, leadership or education in the field of emergency medicine.

Outside of Work

When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Slubowski enjoys spending time with his partner and their two dogs, Zeke and Rex. He also enjoys staying physically active through recreational sports, workouts and yoga. Other favorite activities include board games and euchre nights.
