Jaimee Haan, PT, CWS

Jaimee Haan graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999 with clinical experiences in multiple settings including acute care, outpatient and extended care.

After graduation, Jaimee discovered her passion for wound management, which has remained her clinical focus for more than seventeen years. Jaimee is currently the Program Manager of the Physical Therapy Wound Management Program within the Rehabilitation Services Department at IU Health. Jaimee received her Certified Wound Specialist ® credential in 2001 from the American Board of Wound Management.

From 2015 to 2016 Jaimee served as the Program Chair for the Academy of Electrophysiology and Wound Management within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), as well as a task force leader for the submission for a Wound Management Certification to the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and the Coordinator for the Wound Functional Limitations Task Force.

Jaimee currently serves as the Clinical Practice Guidelines Coordinator for the Academy and is now serving as the Chair of the Diabetic Foot Ulcer Clinical Practice Guideline Workgroup. Jaimee has published multiple journal articles and has presented at the national level on topics related to low-frequency ultrasound, long-wave infrared thermography, and deep tissue injury among other topics. Jaimee was honored by the Indianapolis Business Journal in 2015 with the Health Care Hero Award.

Also in 2015 Jaimee received the Indiana University School of Health of Rehabilitation Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award. Finally in 2017 Jaimee was awarded the Professional Merit Award from the Academy of Clinical Electrophysiology and Wound Management within the APTA. Jaimee is most proud of the accomplishments and positive outcomes the physical therapy wound team has accomplished at the Academic Health Center at IU Health.
