Biography
Dr. Jared W. Meeker is a pulmonologist specializing in interventional pulmonology. As an interventional pulmonologist, he focuses on minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat lung conditions, helping patients breathe easier and live fuller lives. His approach is deeply patient centered—he works closely with you and your care team to tailor treatments that align with your unique needs, values and goals.
What Dr. Meeker Treats
Dr. Meeker provides a wide range of advanced procedures to help patients improve their quality of life, including:
- Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR)
- Diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy
- Lung biopsy
Education
Dr. Meeker earned his medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine – Peoria, followed by his Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine fellowship here at Indiana University.
After practicing Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine for four years, Dr. Meeker pursued additional, highly specialized training in Interventional Pulmonology through a dedicated fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. This advanced training allows him to offer leading edge, minimally invasive procedures for patients with complex lung and airway conditions.
Outside of Work
Outside of medicine, Dr. Meeker enjoys being with his family, keeping active, and relaxing with books and music.
