Biography
Jessica Langemeier, OTD, MS Ed, OTR, CLT, is an occupational therapist and a certified lymphedema therapist, with a focus on treating those in the oncology population who are experiencing lymphedema, as well as other factors affecting range of motion, activity participation and well-being at any time during cancer survivorship.
Jessica has been with IU Health since 2024. This is a second career for Jessica, who previously spent many years as an educator in area schools. She expanded on her prior degrees in education, receiving her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Indiana University-Indianapolis in 2024, with a semester focused on advocating for the integration of occupational therapy services into the breast cancer continuum of care. She received her CLT certification in July of 2024.
With Jessica, patients can expect personalized, hands-on therapy sessions that may include myofascial release, fibrosis techniques, joint mobilization, manual lymphatic drainage massage and exercise. They can also expect to be educated and trained in compression garments and devices, as well as maintaining lifestyle habits to prevent lymphedema from progressing and to reduce its impact over time. Her goal is to promote increased independence and improved quality of life for her patients as they navigate life after a cancer diagnosis.
Jessica moved to Indianapolis in 1999, and currently lives in Fishers with her husband, 3 sons and 2 dogs.
