Biography
Dr. Kara Allen is a board-eligible vascular surgeon. Dr. Allen is interested in providing patient-centered, evidence-based care to improve her patient's quality of life. She treats the entire spectrum of vascular disease including aneurysms, arterial disease, venous disease, management of dialysis access and thoracic outlet syndrome.
Education
Born and raised in southern Idaho, Dr. Allen later attended college at Northwest Nazarene University. She then attended medical school at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She completed both a general surgery residency and vascular surgery fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine.
Outside of Work
When not caring for patients, Dr. Allen enjoys gardening, hiking, landscaping and hanging out with her two rescue dogs.
