Biography
Kristen Bunch is a certified nurse-midwife who specializes in women’s health care from adolescence through menopause, with a special focus on pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
She received her Master’s in nursing with a specialty in midwifery from Vanderbilt University in 2006. She received a postmaster's certificate in 2020 from the University of Cincinnati for Family Nurse Practitioner. She is board-certified through the American Midwifery Certification Board and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
Kristen began her career as a nurse-midwife in Florida. After gaining experience she moved back to her home state of Indiana where she worked as a midwife for 13 years with HealthNet, a large full-scope midwifery practice in Indianapolis. In 2022 she joined IU Health’s newly established midwifery practice in Bloomington. She is thrilled to be able to provide full-scope midwifery care in her hometown.
She lives in Bloomington with her husband, Lance, and their 5 children, 2 cats, and 1 dog. She enjoys watching her two young boys, Garrett and Kadel, play baseball and her three stepdaughters dance. In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, eating at local restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
