Biography
Kristen Mears MS, OTR, CHT, is an occupational therapist with more than 10 years of experience treating patients at IU Health Arnett. She received her bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and is a proud Purdue Boilermaker. She earned her master’s degree from IUPUI.
After practicing for 5 years, she earned a specialty certification in upper extremity rehabilitation. Mears has treated a wide variety of diagnoses affecting the upper extremities. This includes fractures, tendon repairs, nerve injuries, ligament repairs and repetitive use injuries. Kristen continues to enjoy learning new treatment techniques and skills to help her become a better provider.
Kristen’s favorite part of working in healthcare is walking along with patients during their recovery process and seeing them improve week to week. It is important to her to see people get back to doing what they love. Outside of work, Kristen enjoys time with her family.
