Biography

Meghan E. Gentry, NP, is a board-certified cardiac nurse practitioner. She has more than ten years of experience as a registered cardiac nurse, including time in the cardiac intensive care unit, cardiovascular surgery and pre- and post-operative cardiology procedures. She was also a part of IU Health’s cardiovascular surgery team upon designation of its 3-star program.

Gentry helps patients with a variety of health concerns, including cardiothoracic surgery, abnormal heart rhythm (arrhythmia), angina, aortic valve stenosis, atrial fibrillation, aardiac arrhythmias, cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, coronary artery disease, decline in function, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), endocarditis, heart attack, heart disease, heart failure, heart valve disease, high blood pressure (hypertension), high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, pulmonary hypertension and carotid artery disease.

Education

Gentry graduated from Indiana University Northwest with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010 and later went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing from Indiana State University’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program.

Outside of Work

When not caring for patients, Gentry enjoys spending time with her two kids, attending sporting events, going to the lake and doing outdoor activities.
