Melanie Goetz, PTA

Melanie is a 2011 graduate from Professional Skills Institute PTA program, with a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in 2007. She enjoys creating treatment programs that are tailored to each person, focusing on their goals and improving their quality of life. Her approach to treatment includes the use of manual techniques combined with therapeutic exercises and education to reduce pain and improve function. Her focus is to not only treat a patient’s condition, but to improve their well-being and provide an excellent rehab experience.

Melanie's favorite thing about healthcare is helping people understand the value of managing and improving their health. She also enjoys educating how physical therapy can help their pain and improve their function. Melanie wants patients to know that she truly cares, this is not "just a job" for her. She enjoys getting to know patients as individuals, not just their diagnosis; how their lives are impacted so that she can find the right treatment style to help.

A fun fact about Melanie is that she was a competitive level 9 gymnast for 12 years. She also coached preschool to high school age and competitive gymnasts for 10 years.
