Biography
Nina Shahin, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with over 25 years of experience treating complex neurological conditions across the healthcare continuum, including acute care, acute rehab, outpatient and private practice. She is committed to evidence-based care and continually integrates the latest research to provide comprehensive support throughout her patients’ recovery journey. Nina prioritizes her client’s goals, ensuring personalized and effective treatment.

Nina has pursued extensive education and mentorship with national and international experts in facial nerve rehabilitation. This specialized training allows her to collaborate closely with otolaryngology and facial plastics physicians to provide targeted care for patients with facial paralysis.
As both a practitioner and educator, Nina has supervised a significant number of graduate students and mentored clinical fellows. She has also led clinical programs to address evolving healthcare needs. Her dedication to teaching and supervision earned her the RUSH University College of Health Sciences Outstanding Clinical Educator Award.
A proud graduate of Case Western Reserve University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Nina practiced in the Chicago area before relocating to Indiana. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with family and friends.
Nina is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Facial Therapy Specialists International (FTSI). Nina is a certified provider of Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT) and the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP). Nina also serves as a clinical consultant for multiple research studies.
