Biography
Rachel graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Indianapolis in 2017. She has experience treating acute orthopedic, trauma and neurologic populations with further training and certification for individuals who have suffered a stroke or brain injury. She also developed programming for maternity patients at Riley Hospital to facilitate antepartum wellness and postpartum recovery.
Her outpatient clinical interests include:
- Stroke
- Brain injury
- Post-op brain and spine surgeries
- Balance and vestibular dysfunction
- Pelvic health including antepartum and postpartum
- Urinary and bowel issues
- Pelvic pain
- Oncology rehabilitation
Rachel supports professional education as a clinical instructor and is adjunct faculty with University of Indianapolis and Indiana State University’s PT programs.
Rachel considers herself a lifelong learner and loves to be challenged with new techniques and latest research. She is passionate about meeting patients' functional goals through a therapeutic relationship built on trust, open communication, and encouragement and she finds purpose in advocating for her patients and their goals.
Rachel loves to travel and experience new places and cultures. During her PT career she has participated in 2 medical brigades to Belize and Ecuador to provide PT services for those with limited medical access.
