Scott A. Pletzer, MD

Dr. Scott Pletzer was a medical student at Riley Children’s Health and was inspired to pursue a career in pediatric cardiology. He enjoys caring for patients and their families, from prenatal diagnosis through young adulthood.

Dr. Pletzer has expertise in advanced cardiac imaging and complex congenital heart disease.

Education

Dr. Pletzer received his medical degree from Indiana University. He completed his pediatric residency at Vanderbilt University and his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he focused on advanced cardiac imaging. He spent the first few years of his career in Charleston, South Carolina. Dr. Pletzer is excited to be back home and working with the great team at Riley Children’s.

Outside of Work

Dr. Pletzer enjoys hiking, cycling and spending time with family in the Indianapolis area.
