INDIANAPOLIS – Karen Stuerenberg has joined Indiana University Health as vice president of Communications and chief communications officer, effective Feb. 16. For the past two years, Karen has been a consultant focused on Human Resources communications for IU Health, supporting a wide range of system-wide initiatives that directly touched team members across the state.
In her role as chief communications officer, Karen will lead communications strategy and oversee a cross-functional team of communications professionals. With nearly 20 years of communications leadership experience, she specializes in developing high-performing teams and people-centric strategies that advance business objectives. Karen's expertise spans strategic communications, crisis and reputation management, brand strategy and stakeholder engagement.
Karen earned her master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Butler University.
