IU Health Plans offers new health plan for federal employees

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – Federal employees in Indiana have a new healthcare insurance option from Indiana University Health Plans. The plan, the first that IU Health Plans has offered to federal employees under the Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB) Program, is available to nearly 60,000 Hoosiers for the 2023 coverage year.

Plan Highlights

Called IU Health Plans Select, the new plan for federal employees offers personalized, innovative healthcare options and an attractive value for federal employees and their families. The plan includes:

• A coordinated member experience — from scheduling to office visits to bill pay.
• Convenient access to care, including virtual visits with providers.
• Access to Indiana’s largest network of physicians and leading-edge medicine and treatment options at IU Health.

Eligible federal participants are choosing their health care coverage decisions during open enrollment that runs from Nov. 14 through Dec. 12, with selections taking effect Jan. 1, 2023.
