As part of Indiana’s largest cancer care network, IU Health Arnett Cancer Center partners with the Indiana University School of Medicine and the IU Health Melvin & Bren Simon Cancer Center, the state’s only cancer center with National Cancer Institute designation. These partnerships give our patients access to leading-edge treatments and innovative cancer research.
IU Health Arnett Cancer Center participates in a variety of clinical trials, which use new ideas and techniques to treat cancer. Many cancers, such as breast cancer, lymphoma, ovarian cancer and lung cancer, are treated using clinical trials. Clinical trials may include the use of new chemotherapy drugs, different radiation therapies or immunotherapy. Not all patients qualify for clinical trials. If you are interested in participating in a clinical trial, you should speak to your physician.

From prevention to survivorship and end-of-life care, our cancer care programs excels at caring for patient needs. We want to improve survival and quality of life for patients with cancer. For these efforts, IU Health Arnett Cancer Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
Our services are also fully accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.

Infusion Therapy
Our skilled infusion nurses are experienced and trained to provide the excellent care needed to ensure all medications are delivered in a highly safe, accurate and effective manner, all in a welcoming environment
The pharmacy team is also an integral part of the patient care delivery process, and you may be approached directly by a pharmacist to review your current medications and address any questions or concerns you may have.

Infusion Therapy FAQs
Will I be able to access the Internet while there?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available.
Will I be able to watch television while there?
Yes, cable television is available.
May I have visitors or guests?
Yes. One visitor at a time. However, children under the age of 14 are not permitted, due to the sensitivity of immunocompromised patients.
How long will I be there?
Infusion therapy can last from 1 – 8 hours.
What if I get cold?
Warm blankets are available.
What if I need to charge my phone or other device?
Electrical outlets are available.
What if I get hungry or thirsty?
Snacks and beverages are available for patients. Vending is available for guests.
What can I bring with me?
Portable devices – DVD player, iPad, computer, etc. Food and beverage of your own or other comfort items.
Radiation Therapy Services
Radiation therapy is a cancer treatment option that delivers high-dose radiation directly to the tumor while sparing surrounding healthy tissues. Radiation therapy may be used alone or in combination with chemotherapy and surgery to treat cancer.
IU Health Arnett Cancer Center offers numerous radiation therapy technologies, including:
- Three-dimensional conformal radiation therapy (3-DCRT)
- Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT)
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT)
- Volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT)
- Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS)
- Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- High dose rate (HDR) Brachytherapy
With the state-of-the-art HyperArc technology, we can deliver Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) to multiple metastatic brain tumors fast and efficiently in a single treatment while sparing surrounding healthy tissue.
To ensure our patients are receiving excellence and safety we are a Radiation Oncology Accredited Facility. This ensures the radiation oncology staff has appropriate experience and qualifications to provide you with the best care.
