Every expectant mother hopes for an easy, worry free pregnancy. These conditions may be pre-existing before you became pregnant or they may develop during your pregnancy. Our relationship with each patient is designed in collaboration with the referring provider and the specific needs of the patient.
Our specialized care for you may include a co-management or consultation with our specialist and your primary obstetric caregiver. Our best opportunities for screening for abnormalities or anomalies are during the first trimester around 11 weeks to 13 weeks and during the second trimester with a complete fetal survey around 18 weeks to 22 weeks.
The advanced ultrasound equipment enables staff to examine in detail the baby’s brain, heart and other vital organs. Diagnosing a birth defect in the womb allows you and your doctor to work together to plan your pregnancy care.
Some maternal high-risk conditions could also need closely monitored with regular ultrasounds. If any problems are detected, our specialized team will be available to offer a variety of individual counseling and support services. We have been granted accreditation in obstetric ultrasound by the AIUM Ultrasound Practice Accreditation Council.
