Biography

Dr. Ahmed M. Saleh, MD, earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College with honors in research and honors in service. Prior to joining the IU Health team, he completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at New York Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he was awarded the Dr. Louis Camilien Excellence in Gynecology Award.

Dr. Saleh is a junior fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons. His research interests include access to preventative healthcare in underserved communities, public health promotion and global health. He has received various awards for his work and has worked in various international settings with the underserved, including Tanzania, Lebanon and Italy. His special interests include:

  • Minimally invasive gynecologic surgery
  • Fibroids
  • High-risk obstetrics
  • Hypertensive disorders
  • Preeclampsia

He is originally from Cairo, Egypt but grew up in Doha, Qatar. He enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures and traditions.
