Biography
Dr. Alexander C. Vlahu, MD, is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in lower extremity reconstruction of the hip and knee. He has expertise in primary hip (anterior and posterior) and knee total joint replacement, complex primary hip and knee replacement, partial knee replacement and revision hip and knee replacement.
Dr. Vlahu earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, followed by an Orthopedic Surgery Residency at the University of Arizona. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Lower Extremity Reconstruction with the Scripps Clinic Medical Group in La Jolla, CA.
Driven by a patient-centered philosophy, Dr. Vlahu is dedicated to developing personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, function and quality of life for patients. His priority is to listen to the patient first and then assist them with making the right treatment choice to meet their goals.
