Biography
As a native born Hoosier, Dr. Bradley N. Bohnstedt, MD, has had an interest in the nervous system since a childhood illness. While initially being interested in neurology and psychiatry, being the son of a mechanic, he found that working with his hands was more in his line of work. Functional recovery of patients has been a driving force for his continued pursuit in the neurosciences, leading him to cerebrovascular and eventually endovascular neurosurgery. Since completing his fellowship in 2014 at Indiana University School of Medicine, he has been part of many studies looking at both hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke and advancing the field. He also continues to be active in the restoration of function to those with other neurological diseases of the brain and spine.
