Biography
Dr. C. Corbin Frye, MD, is an endocrine and general surgeon with IU Health. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Indiana University School of Medicine in the Division of Surgical Oncology. He is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and has completed an accredited fellowship in endocrine surgery.
Dr. Frye earned his medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. He completed a General Surgery Residency and Research Fellowship at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Frye then pursued a fellowship in endocrine surgery with some of the top leaders in the field at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
As an endocrine surgeon, Dr. Frye specializes in surgery of the adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid glands, with particular clinical interests in minimally invasive endocrine surgery, including the robotic resection of adrenal glands and scarless thyroid nodule ablation. He also performs minimally invasive and robotic general surgeries including inguinal and abdominal wall hernias.
In addition to his clinical efforts, Dr. Frye is passionate about educating the next generation of surgeons and advancing his field through research, for which he has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and multiple book chapters
