Biography

Dr. Dharmik Patel is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. His clinical interests include hidradenitis suppurativa (HS), alopecia (hair loss), inflammatory skin disease, skin cancer and procedural dermatology. He has two specialty clinics dedicated to hidradenitis suppurativa and alopecia. He serves as co-director of Hidradenitis Suppurativa and director of Alopecia within the Department of Dermatology at Indiana University. Dr. Patel is also participating in clinical trials to further explore emerging treatment options for patients with these conditions.

His practice also includes advanced care for acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, rashes and other inflammatory skin disorders. He performs skin cancer surgery for benign and malignant lesions. He specializes in cosmetic treatments including neurotoxins, fillers, laser and light-based procedures, resurfacing procedures, chemical peels and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections.
