Biography
Frank J. Yuk, MD, joined IU Health and the IU School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery faculty in 2025 after several years in private practice. Dr. Yuk is a highly specialized adult and pediatric spine surgeon. Having had two spine surgeries himself, Dr. Yuk provides the most empathetic care for his patients. Outside of work, Dr. Yuk enjoys golfing, traveling, trying new restaurants and spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Yuk earned his undergraduate degree from The Johns Hopkins University. He went on to receive his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He completed his Neurosurgery Residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Yuk is a dual fellowship-trained spine surgeon. He completed his first fellowship at The Mount Sinai Hospital in adult complex spine surgery with a focus in minimally invasive spine surgery. He then went on to complete a second Orthopedic Spine Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in adult and pediatric scoliosis and he spent additional time at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
