Biography
Dr. Gordon G. Mao, MD joined IU Health and the IU School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery faculty in July 2021. His practice is focused on all spinal conditions, using standard and advanced techniques such as minimally invasive and robotic techniques and deformity correction.
Before joining IU Health, Dr. Mao completed a Complex Spine Fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He completed his neurosurgery residency program at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
