Biography
Dr. Jamal Mohamud specializes in caring for patients with complex neuro-oncological conditions affecting the brain, spine and nervous system. His clinical interests include primary brain tumors, primary CNS lymphoma, meningiomas and other skull base tumors, metastatic brain disease, spinal cord tumors, leptomeningeal disease, neurofibromatosis and other hereditary tumor syndromes.

Dr. Mohamud’s procedures and clinical skills include:
- Ommaya reservoir management and access
- Lumbar puncture
- Clinical trial design and enrollment
- Supportive care management, including seizures, cerebral edema and steroid management

Professional Roles and Certification
Dr. Mohamud is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), with Neuro-Oncology certification through the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS) pending. He also serves as faculty in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
