Biography

Jan George, PT, DPT, OCS and CIDN, is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedics, and a clinical specialist in integrative dry needling, ASTYM treatment and blood flow restriction training.

Her specialties include orthopedics - with manual-based emphasis, especially foot/ankle, knee, lower extremity, shoulder, upper extremity, runners/triathletes and vestibular.

She has more than 18 years of experience in outpatient centers, which includes outpatient orthopedics/neuro/vestibular along with home care. She has worked at the Rehab Institute of Chicago, Johns Hopkins Hospital and in outpatient centers in Colorado and Minnesota as well. Her treatments are a combination of mobilization with tactile emphasis, neurophysiological movement bias and evidence-informed research.

Over the years, she has gathered many tools for her practice, and each patient challenges her to utilize a variety of those tools - sometimes they assist her in discovering new ones!

She listens to each person's goals and creatively customizes each session to achieve results. She brings an interesting twist to each session, and thoroughly explains her theories and how they apply to her patients. Her family loves to travel in their RV. Even though she's a busy mom, she still finds time to participate in duathlons, Spartan races and long-road biking adventures.
