Biography
As a physiatrist, Dr. Penman helps patients function at their personal best in the face of impairments. Prior to a career in medicine, she studied Complementary and Alternative Medicine at Georgetown, where she received her master's degree. She has a special interest in integrating this knowledge into a holistic approach for treating patients with complex chronic pain conditions. Her clinical interests include pain reprocessing therapy, fibromyalgia, post-acute sequelae SARS-CoV-2 infection (PASC), integrative approaches to treating pain and dysfunction and headache management. When not working, Dr. Penman enjoys travel, yoga, learning ASL and making pizza with her husband and sons.
