The IU Health Community Medicine Specialty Care team is excited to announce Dr. Alex Karel, who joined us in June 2024. Dr. Karel’s specialized capabilities have made a notable impact, particularly by improving access for patients seeking Botox treatments at IU Health Fishers. His innovative use of a specialized E-Stim device has also advanced patient care, making procedures more effective and efficient. In addition to his clinical skills, Dr. Karel has proven to be an invaluable asset to IU Health Medical Group by streamlining our new patient and urgent care referral processes.
Dr. Karel completed his undergraduate program at Anderson University and received his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. After completing his residency at Goodman Hall and building a successful practice at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, Dr. Karel has brought his exceptional skills and expertise to IU Health Fishers.
