Biography
Jon Prairie, NP, is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in hematology and oncology.
Education
Prairie graduated from Indiana University in 1997 with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He then worked in the surgical and medical-surgical departments for 7 years before joining the resource pool in Indianapolis.
He then obtained his chemotherapy certification to deliver care in the outpatient infusion setting and on inpatient oncology floors.
In the fall of 2015, Prairie graduated with his master’s in nursing, FNP, and started working in palliative care and then with the hematology and oncology teams.

Outside of Work
When not caring for patients, Prairie is an avid video gamer. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, riding his motorcycle and participating in his book club. He’s been married for almost 10 years and has two sons with his wife Becca.
