Biography
Dr. Cary is certified by the American Board of Urology. He is an Associate Professor of Urology in the Department of Urology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
He completed his training in urologic surgery at Indiana University and then completed a 2-year urologic oncology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. While in his fellowship, he also completed a Master of Public Heath (MPH) degree with a focus on epidemiology at the University of California, Berkeley. He received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business
Cary serves as the Director of the Germ Cell Tumor Program within the Department of Urology. His research interests predominantly focus on the surgical management of advanced testicular cancer and subsequent outcomes.
Additionally, he has been funded by the National Cancer Institute division of the National Institutes of Health through a K23 grant to study patterns of care in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer.
He previously served as the Co-Director of the Office of Community Outreach and Engagement within the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center, which coordinates all cancer research and community engagement efforts throughout the state of Indiana.
