Katelyn Axman, PT, DPT, NCS

Katelyn Axman, PT, DPT, NCS is a physical therapist with IU Health Neurorehabilitation and Robotics, specializing in the evaluation and treatment of individuals with neurologic and vestibular conditions. She provides personalized, evidence-based care for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, concussion, and other disorders affecting balance, mobility, dizziness, and functional independence.

Kate completed her undergraduate studies in bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh, then went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She recently received her board certification as a Neurologic Clinical Specialist. Her clinical experience spans acute care and outpatient rehabilitation, with a strong focus in neurologic and vestibular therapy. She is passionate about using education and collaboration to help patients better understand their recovery process. Some of the conditions Kate specializes in include, but are not limited to:

Outside of the clinic, Kate serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching anatomy and physiology, and also assists as an adjunct in the Indiana University-Indianapolis DPT program’s neuro lab sequence. She has applied to sit for the Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) board examination in 2026, reflecting her commitment to ongoing growth and excellence in neurologic rehabilitation.

In her free time, Kate enjoys running, reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
