Biography

Katie Kruse, PA-C, is an advanced practice provider specializing in general pediatric orthopedics. As a certified physician assistant within orthopedics & sports medicine, she treats conditions including:

  • Fractures
  • Sports medicine
  • Gait abnormality
  • Limb pain

Kruse attended Butler University for her Bachelor of Science in Health Science degree and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Kruse also double majored in Spanish during her undergrad. She received her board certification in 2017 through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

An Indiana native, Kruse grew up in LaPorte, Indiana. She loved her time at Butler University and wanted to remain a part of the Indianapolis community after graduation. During her years at Butler, she spent each summer working as a YMCA camp counselor, where she developed a passion for working with children. She feels fortunate that she is able to serve children and their families each day through her work at Riley Children’s Health.

When seeing Kruse, patients and families can expect to talk through their specific concerns, obtain imaging when necessary and receive a thorough explanation of their child’s diagnosis. An individualized treatment plan will be provided and discussed that is specific to the needs and goals of each patient.

Outside of seeing patients, Kruse enjoys traveling, hiking and cheering on the Butler Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse with her husband. She also enjoys visiting her hometown of LaPorte to spend time with her family and their two horses.
