Biography

Kennedy Skipper, MA, SLP, is a speech pathologist with IU Health Neurorehabilitation & Robotics. She has a special interest in working with the adult neurological population. Kennedy uses evidence-based approaches to evaluate and treat conditions causing difficulties in the following areas:

  • Cognitive aspects of communication
  • Receptive and expressive language
  • Speech production
  • Swallowing
  • Voice
  • Augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) modalities

Kennedy was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate studies at Purdue University, earning Highest Distinction, then attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, where she obtained her Master of Arts in Speech Pathology.

Kennedy’s favorite part of healthcare is working with patients to collaboratively develop functional goals and strategies to target real-life difficulties that are specific to each person.

Outside of work, Kennedy enjoys reading mystery books, building the newest Lego sets, drawing portraits and spending time with her friends and family.
