Biography

Dr. Kenneth Chang, MD, is a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology in the Indiana University School of Medicine. Fellowship-trained by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), his practice encompasses the eyelids, tear duct, orbit and face. His clinical interests include addressing cosmetic and reconstructive concerns using both surgical and non-invasive approaches to achieve the most natural result possible.

After growing up in Boston, Dr. Chang was admitted to the undergraduate Honors Chemistry Program at Boston College. He was awarded a scholarship to attend medical school at the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, and then served an intern year at Northwell Health in New York. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of South Carolina where he received the highest score on the OKAP in-service exam and was appointed chief resident in his final year. He was among 26 surgeons in North America selected for a prestigious ASOPRS fellowship. During this intensive two-year fellowship at the University of Toronto, he performed thousands of surgeries in adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Chang is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has published research articles, presented abstracts and delivered podium talks at national and international conferences. He is passionate about innovative techniques and technologies, and teaching the next generation of eye surgeons. Outside of work, he enjoys playing tennis and working out. His wife is also a physician, and together they are happy to call Indiana their home.
