Biography
Dr. Shiue was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but considers himself a Hoosier, having lived in central Indiana since the age of 5. Dr. Shiue became interested in becoming an oncologist when a family member was diagnosed with cancer while he was in college. He was drawn to the field because of the bravery and determination of the patients.
Dr. Shiue received his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed a residency with IU Health. His main clinical and research interests include central nervous system and thoracic tumors. Dr. Shiue is also an assistant professor with the Department of Radiation Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Shiue and his wife are avid supporters of and participants in the arts. He is a full volunteer member of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra as an amateur violinist.
