Biography
The fundamental goals of orthopedics, such as restoring function and reconstruction, drew Dr. Desai to the profession. Hand injuries and pathologies are seldom life-threatening but they are life-altering. You use your hands at work, activities of daily living, sports, and recreational activities. Being able to treat hand conditions and improving patient’s quality of life brought her to the field of hand and upper extremity surgery.
Dr. Desai's goal as a physician is to provide exemplary patient care. She seeks to understand the patient and their concern, create a productive dialogue enabling them to be an active participant in their care and create a treatment plan best suited for the patient’s needs and goals.
