Biography
Dr. Luke A. Lopas, MD has completed 11 years of post-secondary education and training to specialize in orthopaedic trauma surgery. Dr. Lopas has had the honor of training with some of the best surgeons in the field from all across the country, including in Madison, Wisconsin, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Tampa, Florida.
Orthopaedic trauma affords him the incredible privilege to meet patients in a true moment of need and help them navigate their path to recovery. Traumatic injuries are never planned for and the healing process can seem complicated and even daunting. He embraces the opportunity to help patients overcome these injuries, and truly enjoys working with them to regain function and return to the activities that are most meaningful to them.
Dr. Lopas is committed to helping patients achieve their physical goals - whether that goal is feeling confident rising up from a chair, finishing an ironman triathlon, or anything in between – and thus dramatically improving their experience and quality of life. He also strongly believes that nutrition and lifestyle play a vital role in recovery, and therefore committed to helping patients learn how to make choices that will improve their results and promote their health in the long term.
Outside of work, Dr. Lopas enjoys spending time outdoors with the people he loves. Whether they're hiking, camping, biking, boating, weightlifting, taking a walk or simply watching a sunset, any time spent outdoors with friends and family is time well spent.
