Biography
Michelle D. Hamric, NP, has been in practice since 2013. Wanting to give back to her patients and community, she became an advanced practice provider to learn and grow as a nursing professional. She has since been able to volunteer within the community and serve as a stronger advocate for her patients.
Michelle earned her associate's degree from Ivy Tech Community College and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Phoenix. She also holds a Master’s in Nursing Education from Walden University. To further her education and grow as a nursing professional, she completed a post-master’s certificate as a family nurse practitioner. While working as a nurse practitioner, she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Walden University.
As an orthopedic nurse practitioner, Michelle cares for patients with orthopedic injuries and specializes in treating patients with hand and upper extremity injuries. She has experience teaching nursing at various degrees, including the associate, baccalaureate and graduate levels. Currently working as an adjunct faculty member, she mentors nurse practitioners as they develop and transition into practice.
When not caring for patients, Michelle enjoys spending time with her family. She also likes going to the beach, watching hockey games and supporting local youth sports.
