Biography
Dr. Saito has been a practitioner of radiation oncology since he completed his residency training in 2005. He decided to become a radiation oncologist because he found the specialty both personally rewarding and intellectually stimulating. Dr. Saito enjoys being part of a team of healthcare providers from multiple specialties. He also enjoys teaching medical students and resident physicians. Dr. Saito is fluent in Japanese.
Dr. Saito earned his MD and PhD in molecular biophysics from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his internal medicine internship and radiation oncology residency at the University of Michigan. Dr. Saito is board certified in radiation oncology by the American Board of Radiology.
His hobbies include travel, gardening, classical music and food. He and his husband, Richard, reside in Fishers, Indiana, with their retired Irish Setter show dog, Martini.
