Biography
A passionate physician with extensive experience in Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal and Spine Intervention Radiology as well as clinical pain management. Dr. D’Amour is dedicated to improving the health, the wellness and education of patients while providing extraordinary care by leading medical teams with a commitment to provide unprecedented, patient first care.
His depth of experience began in 1984 while practicing Spine Intervention and then in 1992, Dr. D’Amour developed an image guided pain and spine intervention practice at Presbyterian Orthopedic Hospital in Charlotte, NC. From 1989 -2005, Dr. D’Amour practiced Interventional and Neuroradiology and then in 2006, he completed a fellowship in Musculoskeletal. Since 2006, Dr. D’Amour has been the Assistant Clinical Professor of Radiology in Musculoskeletal and supported the Interventional and Neuroradiology medical teams at IU Health. Having had many years of experience in Radiology; head, spine, bone and joints, Dr. D’Amour embraces the joy of relieving others from chronic pain. In 2017, IU Health asked Dr. D’Amour to develop and lead a Pain Management service in order to help patients in need. Since 1984, Dr. D’Amour has performed thousands of patient procedures to diagnose, treat, relieve joint and spinal pain.
Dr. D’Amour believes that every patient deserves a physician that actively listens, can advise and articulate a solution to relieve them of their pain while demonstrating empathy and kindness. With these values, it’s not surprising that the IU Health medical team led by Dr. D’Amour has patient survey results exceeding a 97% satisfaction rating.
