Biography
launched an atrial fibrillation clinic with Dr. Strobel and Dr. Hornsby, where she focuses on risk factor modification and patient education to prevent disease progression.
In addition to her clinical work, since 2019, Rachel has served as clinical faculty for the IU School of Nursing’s BSN program. She also precepts new nurse practitioners and offers guidance and support to emerging healthcare professionals.
Rachel’s diverse experience spans neonatal intensive care, primary care, urgent care, vascular clinic and hospice care, giving her a broad perspective on patient care. However, her true passion lies in cardiology, where she dedicates herself to helping patients manage and prevent heart-related conditions.
A Bloomington, IN native, Rachel graduated from Indiana University with the highest distinction in 2007. She then completed her nurse practitioner degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her husband, John, and their two children on Lake Monroe in the summer. The family also greatly enjoys attending Indiana University sporting events throughout the year.
